A city on the water filled with culture and life. The Arab architecture is timeless and breathtaking. The fisherman along the port and the beautiful boats along the distance are a pleasure to watch! It’s less than a 2 hour train ride from Tel Aviv to Akko! I recommend sitting for a coffee or grabbing a bite to eat at Doniana, it is perfectly located near the cliffs where you can watch locals jumping into the water and you can see beautiful views of the bright blue ocean and old architecture around you!
Since I was a little girl, each summer when I came to visit Israel my grandmother used to take me on a day trip to Old Town Akko. After not being there for 5+ years I’ve remembered why she loved it so much. It is a city on the water filled with culture and life.
